Med Health Plus's Hospital Negotiation Service provides Members access to experienced Case Managers who work with Member's physicians and area hospitals to obtain the best possible cost for a Member's hospital procedure..
The Hospital Negotiation Service has access to massive amounts of data relating to hospital services. When a Member contacts the Call Center regarding an upcoming procedure, a Case Manager is assigned to work with them throughout their case.
Once a hospital has been selected by a Member, the Case Manager will negotiate, on the Member's behalf, with the hospital, using data that indicates what the actual cost is to the hospital for the anticipated services. This information is used to negotiate based on a cost plus basis, rather than retail, less a percentage, thus allowing for negotiations for the best possible rate. Savings are negotiated on a case-by-case basis and will vary.

*Hospital savings are negotiated on a case-by-case basis prior to services being rendered. Once a Case Manager has negotiated a reduced fee with the Hospital selected by the Member, a packet will be provided to the Member and the Member will be required to provide payment information. Once payment verification has been secured, a referral will be sent to the Hospital. Savings will vary and are not guaranteed.
